The Extra Mile Tale
The success is not a God gifted term or we can grab it without coming out of our comfort zone, it is only achieve with a lot of hard work, patience and consistency to do the thing which is the desire of person’s life. It is need to go extra mile, extra mile is some thing that is the excessive effort made by an individual to achieve the target. Amal Academy let me understand this term more clearly by giving the project work of going extra miles to in-person meet for the interview. I was very hesitate to do plus I had some health issues at the same week but I managed to take steps because I knew that my all hesitations and worries are temporary until I take a start.
MY FIRST STEP
I am jobless from the time I resigned my school job because I was getting married. It was November 2019 then I got married in the end of December 2019. January and February I spared on outings, weddings, family gatherings. In March I set up my self for job hunt but unfortunately Corona Virus shuttered down all the city life in a rest. It was a toughest time for me like everyone, staying home, no special activities and no outdoor activities then all of sudden Amal announced its online summer fellowship program, I just got my registration and finally got selected, in the mean time all lock down situation got cleared but I was completely blank minded about my job hunting process, now what to do then I signed in my project of passenger series of going extra miles. I take a little step I whats app the administrator of the school where I was doing job before marriage.
His positive reply boosted my moral and he called me school for the test and the interview, I passed my test and interview but there’s another step which is left ahead that is demonstration, the schools will reopen for children from 22 September and I have to go for teaching trial, I am hoping for best results.
My second step
At the same day of school interview I came back my home at 11 am and had my another interview in Indus University Stadium Road Karachi, I started my research about the institute by visiting its official website, I read each and every section then I made a cover letter with the name of recruiter ‘Mr. Khalid Amin Sheikh’ the chancellor of the university
I moved to interview and in the admission officer I took the phone no. of admission officer Saima Perwaiz to communicate for the results after interview. It all goes in the flow and after passing from interview process I came back to home. After two hours rest I text Saima for Recruiter's personal email Id, She gave me and I wrote a Thank you mail. Now I am waiting for the positive answer but if it not i definitely don’t mind because its just a start, I have to work more for the betterment of my career.
